Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers about what NOSTALGI-Ai is building, what is available today, and what collectors can expect before launch.
Service and launch
What does NOSTALGI-Ai grade?
Our first planned service is trading-card grading. That includes the broad world of sports, fantasy and strategy, animation, movies and television, comics, and pop-culture trading cards. Public submissions are not open yet.
When will submissions open?
We have not announced a public opening date. We are calibrating our standards, imaging, handling, and review workflow before accepting cards. The Development Journal and founding list will carry the first official update.
Can I send a card or payment now?
No. Please do not send cards or payment. Joining the founding list is free and is only a way to receive development and launch updates.
How grading is being built
What condition areas will you review?
Our current framework begins with four core areas: centering, corners, edges, and surface. Detailed scoring rules are still being calibrated for repeatability.
Does AI automatically grade the card?
No. Our technology is intended to help surface measurable patterns and organize condition evidence. A trained human reviewer remains responsible for the final assessment.
What will I receive with a grade?
We are designing a clear condition record that connects the final decision to documented observations. The exact report format and included features are still in development and will be published before launch.
How will NOSTALGI-Ai be different?
Our focus is understandable evidence, human accountability, preservation-minded handling, and honest communication about what is ready. We want the experience to feel as meaningful as the collection without asking customers to trust inflated claims.
Pricing, timing, and protection
How much will grading cost?
Pricing has not been finalized. All service tiers, fees, and payment terms will be published before submissions open.
How long will grading take?
Turnaround times have not been finalized. We will publish clear estimates and explain how they are measured before accepting cards.
Will submitted cards be insured?
Shipping, custody, insurance, liability, and claims procedures will be included in the final submission terms. Do not send cards until those terms and official instructions are live.
What holder or encapsulation will you use?
Protective-holder and encapsulation details are still being evaluated. Final materials, security features, and handling guidance will be announced only after they have been validated.
Founding list and updates
What happens when I join the founding list?
You will receive selected development notes and the first announcement when trading-card submissions are ready to open. Joining does not require payment, reserve a grade, or guarantee an opening date. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Where can I follow real progress?
The Development Journal is the best place to follow published milestones, calibration notes, and changes to the service as it develops.
Intellectual property
What do “patent pending” and “trademark pending” mean?
They mean applications have been filed and remain under review; they do not mean a patent or trademark has been granted. These notices do not change the current pre-launch status of our grading service.
